"Time Out Hong Kong": eefit's Tai Chi Event

[News on 14th October 2025] - eefit's commitment to healthy living is rooted in the principle that true wellness is a state of balanced energy, integrating both mind and body. eefit's philosophy finds a parallel in Tai Chi, harnessing a connection to nature to foster internal harmony. To bring this concept to life, we partnered with a professional Tai Chi instructor to host our first "Time Out Hong Kong" – eefit's Tai Chi Event. Set in the serene landmark, Olympic Square in Hong Kong Park, the event invited participants to experience the profound energy resonance of "smooth flow of qi and blood, harmony between heaven and humanity".

Our instructor, Mr. Jonathan Yau, demonstrated movements with fluidity and power

Harmonising Body and Mind in Nature, Guided by National-Level Instructor

This session was led by Mr. Jonathan Yau, a national-level social sports instructor, Nankunshan Dandao Qimen successor, and teacher at Yunxing International Institute of Sinology. Held from 10:00 to 11:30 am at Olympic Square in Hong Kong Park, the fresh air, open space, and natural surroundings amplified the participants immersion in energy and the benefits of Tai Chi, helping them synchonise their inner energy with the tranquility of the surroundings.

Participants were fully engaged throughout, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere

A Community Engaged: Creating Energy Through Positive Interactions

The event brought together 26 enthusiastic eefit fans and Tai Chi lovers, joined by eefit's Founder and Chairman Prof. Nick Wang, and Managing Director Ms. Phyllis Lo. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with an overall engagement score of 9 out of 10, reflecting the high level of focus and satisfaction among attendees*.

The on-site atmosphere was warm and interactive; participants remained energized and fully engaged throughout the session as they joined lively discussions, collaborating and asking questions proactively. Under Mr. Yau's watchful eye, attendees received real-time, professional guidance. The highlight for many was the partner-based "Qi-pulling" exercise, where even those who had just met developed a quick rapport, fostering a powerful sense of community and shared purpose.

*Note: 10-point scale - 8-10 indicates high engagement; 5-7 basic participation; 1-4 minimal interest

Participants practiced with focused attention, learning to synchronise breath and intention, and sense internal energy flow under Mr. Yau's guidance

From First Encounters to Deeper Insights

  • Experienced Tai Chi Practitioners: A Breakthrough in "Uniting Body and Mind"

Among the participants were two long-time eefit supporters, Mrs. Lam and Ms. Wan, each with over a decade of Tai Chi experience. Their biggest takeaway was "how different this lesson felt from the past ones," even though they had already learned all the movements before. Previously, their classes consisted of "the teacher moves, the students copy". This time, however, Mr. Yau went beyond the external form and focused on the essence. "The real key is bringing your intention back into your body, integrating your awareness with body and mind." Instead of only thinking about whether their postures looked "correct", this time they truly experienced their "Qi unifying with the self." The "Five-Finger Exercise" segment also left a mark: "The eyes are the windows to the soul – if your gaze is scattered outward, your spirit wanders. Over time, the separation of mind from body can give rise to many ailments."

  • First-Time Tai Chi Learner: From Confusion to Insight, An Energy Flow Revelation

Maggie, a first-time Tai Chi participant, described her journey from initial confusion to profound insight. "I couldn’t keep up at all for the first five minutes – I didn’t even know where to start. But around 10 minutes in, with Mr. Yau's careful guidance, I began to coordinate my movement with my breath and focus on my intention," she said. She was thrilled to feel a shift from initial stiffness to the sensation of "energy" moving within the body as the instructor described. "I was worried I wouldn’t be able to grasp the meaning of Tai Chi, yet I could feel the energy flowing on my first try. With Mr. Yau's patience, I achieved a personal breakthrough. I’m really happy and grateful!"

  • Practising with Friends: Shared Learning, Shared Joy

Many participants attended together with family or friends, like Ms. Siu and Ms. Ko, who discovered Tai Chi’s tangible benefits for improving circulation and qi. "The moves looked simple, but coordinating with the breath was not easy. Thankfully, during the partnered "Qi-pulling" practise, we cooperated and gradually found that sense of energy flow. It was really gratifying!"

Participants experienced how eefit energy and Tai Chi help regulate and cultivate Qi, guided by Mr. Yau

Writer's Note: Connecting eefit Energy and Tai Chi to Regulate Qi and Achieve Holistic Wellness

This event beautifully illustrated the core resonance between the philosophies of eefit energy and Tai Chi. Both revolve around "flow and balance", are health-centered, emphasise deep connection with nature, and use gentle, profound means to harmonise the body and mind. The pressures of modern city life often lead to imbalances in our autonomic nervous system and significant mood swings. After the session, I drank eefit Natural Mineral Water while my body was in the "golden window for energetic regulation and repair", which boosted the effects of Tai Chi, promoting microcirculation and metabolism, activating cells, and enhancing self-repair.

Many participants also drank eefit Natural Mineral Water after the session, reporting feelings of lightness, relaxation, and mental clarity. Just as Tai Chi helps regulate the flow of Qi, the energy water supports microcirculation and cellular vitality, leading to a more complete state of balance. This reminded me of eefit's "Aqua Vitaliser", which also uses energized water as a regulatory mechanism to help stabilize the sensory system and ease emotional tension. It is simple to use –just placing it in a room can optimize the energy field of the surrounding space and promote a restorative environment, helping to clear negative energy, calm the body and mind, promote deep recovery, and improve sleep quality.

The event concluded successfully with a group photo of all the participants, Mr. Yau, and the eefit team at Olympic Square, Hong Kong Park

Returning to Balance: The Philosophy of Health in Everyday Life

Amid the challenges of modern high-pressure lifestyles, we hope this event could allow participants to personally experience how Tai Chi guides the flow of vital energy, fostering a harmonious resonance between the body and nature. Through this practice, they could rediscover inner calm, enhance vitality, improve qi and blood circulation, and achieve a balanced state of health.
